ABSTRACT

The results of a secondary analysis of representative All-Russian precarity studies (2018 and 2020) data characterizing employment conditions in rural areas are presented. Changes in material well-being, labor relations and social guarantees indicators in connection with restrictive measures in 2020 are discussed. Conclusions are drawn about the decline in the quality of labor resources in Russia's rural areas, underutilization and precarization of labor, as well as insufficient "safety cushion” for rural residents due to weak social security, lack of financial savings, instability in labor relations manifested during the pandemic. © 2022 г.

ABSTRACT

On March 4, 2022, the Russian State University for the Humanities hosted an international scientific and practical conference “Gender Resources for Sustainable Development: International and Russian Experience”, which for the second time served as an interdisciplinary platform for gender researchers. The conference focused on the following issues: women’s historical memory as a resource for sustainable social development;gender characteristics of political perception of power in different historical times;representation of women’s diplomacy;social inequality and gender equality policies in modern world;the problem of violence in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference appears to be significant to a wide range of professionals involved in gender studies. The discussions can serve as a basis for the adoption of normative documents aimed at solving important issues related to the regulation and protection of the women’s status in modern society. © 2022 Russian Public Opinion Research Center, VCIOM.
